Mr. Clucks Chicken Commercial with Hurley
Posted in Just For Fun, VideosThis video was shown at the 2009 Comic Con. This is a fake commercial for Mr. Cluck’s Chicken starring Hugo Reyes (aka Hurley aka Jorge Garcia) followed by a commercial by Oceanic Airlines claiming a 30 year perfect safety record. See the transcript below if you cannot view the video.
Hurley says, “Hi, I’m Hugo Reyes, owner of Mr. Cluck’s. Ever since I won the lottery, I’ve had nothing but good luck and now I share that luck with you, mates! On a recent vacation to Austrailia, I had a dream while camping under the stars of the Outback… A dream… of chicken!”
Announcer says, “Introducing Mr. Cluck’s new Outback Roasters. Made with the best free range chicken in the business. Grilled to perfection with authentic Australian spices, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, and a cold drink! Now that’s an adventure!”
Hurley walks out into the dining area of the KFC Chicken-like restaurant shouting Australian jargon to the patrons. There is a black man with his son – they’re supposed to be Walt & Michael but they’re really different actors. There’s also a bald man that’s supposed to be Dave.
Announcer says, “Try the all new Cluck’s Outback Roaster Combo Meals just $4.42!” (Yet another instance of The Numbers)
Hurley says, “Mr. Cluck’s. It’s chicken… heaven!”

Then the video cuts to a cheesy Oceanic Airlines commercial with the fake looking flight attendants. The woman narrating the commercial claims that Oceanic Airlines has been “in the air since 1979″ and has gone “30 years with a perfect safety record”.
