Can you feel the excitement in the air as Season 6 of Lost is just around the corner? Sadly, it is the final season, but in a way, I feel like it is better to wrap it up now than to stretch it out to the point where it becomes ridiculous. Yeah, image Lost getting ridiculous. Anyone who has talked to me about Season 5 knows that I thought it was predictable and quite terrible compared to previous seasons BUT I’m determined to carry this blog to the end!
So Lost moves to Tuesdays this year. I really don’t care what day it falls on, as long as it IS on! There’s not a lot of tv competition on Tuesdays so it will likely help the number of viewers that will tune back in to see the final hours of Lost.
So set your DVRs or tune in for the three hour Lost Season 6 premiere event!
Starting at 8pm Eastern / 7pm Central, “Lost: Final Chapter”: a series recap on the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, the mysteries of the island and its inhabitants, the survivors who returned to the U.S. (the Oceanic 6), the island’s violent time shifts and the H-bomb detonation in May 2009’s Season 5 finale.
At 9pm Eastern / 8pm Central, “LA X”, The sixth (and final) season begins in the aftermath of the H-bomb detonation, as the survivors learn “when” they are.

Highlights from Jeff Jensen’s “The Last Season of ‘Lost’: ‘Anything goes’“:
Cuse and Lindelof have been giving interviews to press over in England while they attend a salute to Lost at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
Will we be seeing departed characters like Boone, Shannon and Charlie make return appearances next year?–Lindelof teased that they do hope to give many fan favorites some sort of “curtain call.”
There will be 18 hours next season instead of the planned 17. The extra 60 minutes will be used to mount a two-hour season premiere.
ABC and the producers are asking fans to write and record their own “mock theme song” for Lost.
“Totally Lost” hosts Jeff Jensen and Dan Snierson will be hosting their own panel at Comic-Con!

Lost was actually really good tonight! I love the chemistry between Locke & Ben.
Some great parts that stood out to me:
- Ben & Alex & the Smoke Monster – very cool! I couldn’t have predicted the smoke monster being a memory movie screen thing in the cave/temple.
- Caesar shot. Great.
- Backstory of how Ben got Alex from Danielle. Filling in some history blanks.
- We found out why Ben was beat up before he got on the plane! Go Des & Penny! Kick some Ben butt.
- We found out why Widmore was off the Island – he was banned for “breaking the rules”
- The Smoke Monster forgives Ben – is there hope for him after all?
- Did you like how this episode put Ben in the “good guy” light? Back and forth between Widmore & Ben, good & bad. sigh.
- And what’s with the shadow of the statue?!
Overall, great episode. I’ve been disappointed with the last few, as some of you know and others of you have seen with my refusal to spend time recapping them. Plus I hate the Kate-Jack-Juliet-Sawyer love square. Bleh. I actually just hate Jack & Kate.
Anywho, my apologies for the large lack of posts. I’ll try to get back into this season. Season 5 just hasn’t been doing it for me :(
